About Us

Michael Gallagher

Managing Director

Michael has worked in financial services since 2006 and became a qualified mortgage and protection advisor in 2007. He has worked for Aegon, Scottish Widows, Clydesdale Bank, Vitality & Prudential, is a qualified estate and letting agent and is a member of Propertymark, ARLA and the Council of Letting Agents.

Michael opened Haystoun Financial & Property Services in 2012 with the clear aim of providing our clients with a personal, local and trusted service.

Michael is originally from Peebles, and when he’s not in the office he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and walking his dogs.

Lizzie Luckman

Head of Residential & Commercial Property

Lizzie joined the Haystoun team in 2018 to manage the property side of the business. Lizzie qualified as a letting agent in 2019 and an estate agent in 2023, she holds the NAEA Propertymark qualifications in The Sale of Residential Property & Residential Letting and Property Management - Scotland.

Before joining Haystoun Lizzie was Head of Regional Proposals for PwC, leading a team of regional proposal managers and advising client teams on end to end bid strategy. Prior to this Lizzie worked in the Group Pensions team at Aviva, where she held a marketing and strategy role.

Out of work, Lizzie enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog.

Jill Wicks

Office & Administrative Manager

Jill has spent her career working for various local businesses in administrative and clerical roles. She joined the Haystoun team in 2019 and and primarily works with Michael processing our client’s mortgage applications.

When not in the office Jill enjoys spending time with her family and long dog walks.

Lorraine Tait

Admin Assistant

Lorraine has joined the team as our Admin Assistant to work across the financial and property sides of the business.

Before this Lorraine had worked as a receptionist for 26 years at a local health centre. Out of the office Lorraine enjoys walking her dog, running with a friend and catching up with family.
